One of the family

We want our residents to feel at home. All residents receive the same warm and personal care whether they are having a short break or with us for longer. The Home is generously staffed to ensure that the residents receive the very best care. The Care Team work alongside the residents at their pace, to promote independence and dignity. Relatives can be reassured that their loved ones are well cared for around the clock.

Designed for comfort

We ensure that residents coming in for a short break feel comfortable and at home, however brief their stay. Every aspect of the Homes were considered from the residents’ perspective to offer independence, dignity and choice. The environment is homely and informal, with spacious lounges for socialising and comfortable nooks to create more intimate spaces to chat or read. Spacious bed-sitting rooms are fully equipped to meet care needs.

We hope Gary can continue to keep coming to Royal Star & Garter for many years to come. The care is exceptional, and he counts down the days when he is next on respite.

Fun & friendship

Residents who join us for a short break receive the same support and care as our long-term residents. Staff ensure that everyone feels valued. Our dedicated Wellbeing Team supports residents in spending their days as they wish. With a range of meaningful activities, outings and exercise seven days a week, there’s something for everyone. Mealtimes offer the opportunity to enjoy good company over delicious, fresh dishes. Menus can be adapted for people with special dietary requirements.
