The Royal Star & Garter Homes & Dallas Burston Polo Club Partnership

Dallas Burston Polo Club has chosen to support The Royal Star & Garter Homes in a partnership beginning in the Charity’s Centenary year, 2016.

The Club’s General Manager, Major Richard Carney, served in the British Army for 34 years. He recognises the important work of military charities such as The Royal Star & Garter Homes, which offers specialist nursing, therapeutic and dementia care to disabled ex-Servicemen and women.

Major Carney commented: “We feel a great affinity with the values held by The Royal Star & Garter Homes and are glad to be able to lend our support to a regional cause. We’re pleased to come on board at such a milestone in the Charity’s history and to celebrate this auspicious occasion with our network of friends and clients.”

Major Carney and his team recently visited the Solihull Home to meet the veterans that his Club will be supporting. There he announced that the Club will be raising funds and awareness through various sporting and social events, throughout 2016.

Gordon Craig, Director of Fundraising & Marketing at The Royal Star & Garter Homes, is looking forward to working with the Club: “Next year will see the Charity celebrating 100 years of providing specialist care to veterans of the Armed Forces. What better time for Dallas Burston to partner with us and raise funds for the Solihull Home. We are honoured that Dallas Burston are working with us in this way and look forward to a mutually enjoyable and beneficial partnership.”
