The Royal Star & Garter Home’s administration staff were delighted to receive a visit from their President, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, at the new offices in Hampton.

The Princess was relaxed and charming as she made time to chat to every member of staff. Chief Executive, Mike Barter, commented: “The central administrative team was absolutely thrilled that Her Royal Highness was especially keen to visit the new Hampton offices. Prior to the move to Hampton in February 2014, the offices were imbedded in the old Richmond Home, which enabled the team to enjoy their President’s regular engagements with residents; therefore, it was tremendous to have their own dedicated Royal visit.

The Princess has been President of the Charity for 50 years and is a frequent visitor to the Homes, where the residents are always happy to welcome her. The administration staff were very honored that she wanted to see the new offices.

Such is Princess Alexandra’s involvement with the Charity that she is interested in every aspect of its work in providing exceptional nursing and therapeutic care for disabled veterans.
