Reserve your placeOur interactive Living Well with Dementia Workshop is designed to support family members, carers, partners and community volunteers, who want to better understand dementia and learn practical ways to help veterans live well at every stage of
the condition.
What to expect
The workshop will provide clear, practical guidance on:Â
- Understanding what dementia is and how it affects people differentlyÂ
- Supporting physical wellbeing through activity and movementÂ
- Keeping the brain stimulated through meaningful activitiesÂ
- Supporting people living with advanced dementia using sensory approachesÂ
- Helping people with dementia maintain independence, dignity, and purposeÂ
- Looking after yourself as a carer and knowing where to find supportÂ
The session will include real-life examples, practical tips, and time for discussion, making it relevant whether you are supporting someone at home, in the community, or in a care setting.Â
The session is led by one of our deputy home managers and a consultant in dementia.Â
Who should attend?Â
Anyone who knows, cares for or is involved in the life of a veteran living with dementia or their partner. This includes:Â
- Family members and friends of someone living with dementiaÂ
- Informal and unpaid carersÂ
- Community groups and volunteersÂ
- Anyone wanting to improve their understanding of dementia and how to support othersÂ

No previous experience or knowledge is required.Â
