Fun for all the family as public invited to Worthing charity’s free Christmas Fayre
The festive season begins in style at Care for Veterans – a Royal Star & Garter Home, when it hosts its Christmas Fayre.
The popular event will be held at the care home in Worthing on Saturday 28 November. It is open to the public, with entertainment and activities for people of all ages to enjoy, and entry is by voluntary donation.
All proceeds from the event will go back to the Home, which provides long-term nursing, rehabilitation, respite and end-of-life care to veterans and their families who live with disabilities, including acquired brain injury and degenerative neurological conditions. It is now part of the Royal Star & Garter group, following a merger with the charity in March 2025.
The fayre will be opened by Father Christmas. Those attending can pick up presents for friends and loved ones with artisan stalls offering handcrafted gifts, seasonal treats and crafts made by Care for Veterans’ residents.
There will be a Santa’s Grotto, as well as a raffle, tombola, arts activities and games for children, and live music throughout the day. Refreshments will include mulled wine.
“We’re delighted to be opening our doors to the local community”

There will be something for everyone to enjoy, from festive gifts and handmade crafts created by our talented residents, to live music, seasonal treats and fun activities for children. We look forward to welcoming families, friends and neighbours for a day of festive fun while supporting Care for Veterans and celebrating the spirit of Christmas together.”
