Kevin Rudge, our Community & Events Coordinator, gives an update on the Annual Summer Fete taking place at The Royal Star & Garter Homes, Solihull.

Just thought I’d update you on the Solihull Fete. We have some great entertainment from local schools, Shirley Pipe band, Military Wives Choir and we will be doing Antique Valuations with the ‘Bargain Hunt’ team, so do bring along any interesting pieces.

We have got some great raffle prizes again this year, we’ve got Aston Villa football tickets, Wasps rugby tickets, Cineworld tickets, tickets to Solihull Baron’s Ice Hockey, Matthew James ladies hair stylist voucher for a cut and finish and local restaurant vouchers, plus many more prizes to suit all.

My cousin in California made a $100 donation. She is a huge supporter of the home following her visit there four years ago where she witnessed the amazing care given to my father (her much- loved uncle). The committee decided to purchase a Micro Scooter with this donation so that the raffle has a universal appeal with its prizes.

We hope to see you all there on Saturday 8th July 12.30 – 4.30pm to make this the best fete ever and exceed all expectations and have a real fun day.
