Mrs Patricia Whanslaw
27 September 1925 - 13 February 2022
Pat’s war time years were initially spent as a wartime child evacuee. Later she worked at the Air Ministry processing the postings and losses of RAF personnel.
She married her husband Leslie Whanslaw in 1950 living in Putney, London before moving to Leatherhead and then to the South Coast. They had 3 children and 3 Grandsons and had 54 years of a happy marriage. Once her children had started school she worked as a Registry File Clerk in Brighton Borough Council until her retirement. She and Les enjoyed 20 years of retirement together travelling the world and socialising with friends and family. Following Les’s death in 2005 Pat was happiest when with family and friends and was well loved by all who knew her for her kindness, humour and tremendous capacity for love.
She passed away at the age of 96 and is sorely missed.
