Mrs Muriel Hiorns (nee Heard)

Muriel Hiorns (nee Heard) was a 3rd Officer in the WRNS during WW2. She never forgot those years and although they were times of hardship they were also ones of great comradeship.

The Royal Star and Garter Homes has helped us all repay some of the debt of gratitude for her Service. But she was also a friend to many, and a devoted wife and mother. She will be remembered for her great spirit, her inner strength, and her endless love.
