Leave a lasting legacy, like Harry

Brigadier Harry Everard was a long-time supporter and friend of Royal Star & Garter. He spent 37 years in the Royal Engineers. From his commission in 1947 to his retirement in the early 1980s, he had a long and distinguished military career, serving as a Royal Engineer all over the world.

Harry was very interested in the support and care of service men and women once they had left the Armed Forces, and he followed our work for more than 20 years. He also generously remembered our charity with a gift in his Will.  Legacies like Harry’s allow us to invest in specialist physio equipment, fund speech and language therapy and contribute towards dementia projects in our three Homes such as developing immersive environments for residents to enjoy.

“We are deeply grateful to Harry and his wife Eunice for their kind support and generosity, ensuring that veterans and their partners living with disability and dementia get the care they so richly deserve.”  Jackie, Legacy Manager

Every gift, large or small, really does make a difference.
