Royal Star & Garter and the UK outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

While the entire country continues to be under isolation, our vital care for veterans and their partners continues. We remain committed to ensuring that the spread of any potential infection is minimised.

Visitor restrictions remain in place across all our Homes, apart from any essential health professionals. Our Day Care services in Solihull and High Wycombe are still suspended and our office staff remain working from home.

Infection prevention and control has been our top priority. Our care teams are absolutely committed to meeting or exceeding all national guidance and staff have shown extraordinary courage and skill in their work. We couldn’t be more proud of them.

We continue to provide our loving care, but it has been necessary to make changes. Social distancing within the Homes and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is in place.

Over the past two weeks, we have focused significant efforts on testing. The majority of staff across our Homes have had tests arranged and testing of our residents is well progressed too. Our aim is to deliver an ongoing programme of regular tests.

We continue to dedicate our energies to keeping our residents and staff safe and well. We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and ongoing support.

Our priority is protecting the residents we care for.
We are extremely grateful for your support and understanding.
