About the role

We are a charity providing loving, compassionate care to veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia. We put residents’ needs first and provide the very best care and support. Our Home is rated ‘outstanding’ by CQC in every category.

We are looking for really special individuals to join us as Outreach Telephone Befrienders. This new service will reach out to veterans and their partners in the community via telephone, offering support, friendship & companionship. We aim to alleviate loneliness and social isolation and help to build confidence in veterans outside of our Homes.

It is essential that you are a naturally caring character that always puts people first, shows kindness, warmth, compassion and respect at all times, and loves to embrace life to make it meaningful for yourself and those you support.

Time commitment: Minimum of 3 hours per week. There is no time limit on the length of service, but telephone befrienders are asked to make a commitment for a minimum of 12 months.

We are looking for people who share our values, people with passion and dedication who want  to make a difference to others.
